The electronic databases of the National Library of Armenia, which had been become unavailable since May 9 due to a fire in the computer section, have been restored and are available all day long at any time, declared the interim director of the National Library, Hrachia Saribekian, at a press conference on June 3.
"We emphasized important things in the previous press conference. We noted that all materials, program files, and the entire base of digitized literature, books, and press was maintained in separate drives at the National Library. The second important item was that, judging from the external appearance of the servers, we could say that they looked quite dependable, because we had taken out the hard disks after the examination, opened them, and verified that no plate had been damaged. This had allowed us to conclude that there was little chance that those servers could not be operated," he explained.
