The Society for Armenian Studies (SAS) has just launched its Podcast Series. In the first interview, Dr. George Bournoutian (Iona College) discusses his new book, Armenia and Imperial Decline from 1900-1914: The Province of Yerevan (Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxon: Routledge, 2018), with Varak Ketsemanian (Ph.D. student, Princeton University).The aim of the SAS Podcast Series is to interview recent authors in the field of Armenian Studies in the broader understanding and disseminate the knowledge about the latest research in the field. The SAS Podcast Series committee consists of: Anna Aleksanyan, Clark University; Jesse Arlen, UCLA; Dzovinar Derderian, U-Michigan Ann Arbor; Varak Ketsemanian, Princeton University, and Armen Manuk-Khaloyan, Georgetown University.
The committee is in the process of conducting interviews with new authors. If you have recently published a book and would like to be interviewed as part of the podcast series, you may contact Dr. Vartan Matiossian, publisher of this blog and currently vice-president of the SAS. The interviews are done in English as well as in Armenian (Western and Eastern).
